With the van climbing down the winding roads, we start our exploration in Manarola, strolling through the colorful village characterized by its Genovese “case-torri.” From here, a quick ride on the park’s convenient train that smoothly connects Cinque Terre’s five villages takes us to Vernazza. A tiny, charming jewel that is dominated by the medieval tower of Castello Doria, Vernazza allows for breathtaking views over cliffs, caves, beaches and rocky coasts hemmed with crystalline waters.
A wonderful ride through the green Ligurian landscape covered with terraced vineyards and olive groves later takes us to Monterosso, an ancient fishing village known as the “Pearl of Cinque Terre” that is particularly famous for its “Sciacchetrà” wine. Marveling at the colors of this vibrant town, you enjoy a wonderful artisan ice-cream to crown this perfect day and seaside adventure.
