Accompanied by a
specialized guide, you will visit the
most authentic food market in Florence to take in the rich blend of colors, tastes, and flavors of our
regional and seasonal products in a building constructed by the renown architect Giuseppe Mengoni. As we are walking through the rows of stands and looking at products that range from spices and herbs to fresh pasta, tripe, and lampedrotto, your guide will share
stories, anecdotes and culinary curiosities about the typical Tuscan way of cooking as well as the important role good food plays in the Italian culture.
With this first visionary impression we’ll make our way into Truffle haven: Founded in 1885 that obtained the patent of the Real House by King Vittorio in 1925.
Walking around the city center we will arrive in an exclusive restaurant specialized in the making of different specialities from mozzarella cheese to withe truffle handmade tagliolini .
Here you will try:
- truffle on fresh handmade pasta or on eggs (you can choose);
- vertical tasting of Parmigiano Reggiano, with different seasonings 12 , 24 and 36 months
- mortadella with truffle;
- truffle pecorino;
- salted codfish croutons with truffle;
- duck liver croutons with truffle.
