“Via Francigena”, the route pilgrims have been following on their way to Rome for thousands of years. As we move into the center of Siena, we find its shell-shaped heart. The picturesque
Piazza del Campo is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world — a place where time seems to have stopped. Here, you have some free time to grab a bite to eat or shop for souvenirs before we are making our way back to the van to reach our next destination: the marvelous
San Gimignano. With its narrow stone walls and its astonishing, powerful towers, we are once again catapulted back to the middle ages.
In San Gimignano you have the chance to taste not just any gelato, but the creation of the Ice Cream World Champion himself!
