The Val d’Orcia is located in between Florence and Siena, it is a UNESCO heritage site because of its landscape; starting from Florence we will take you along the “Cassia Vetus” road which crosses this amazing countryside.
Along the way you will stop along vineyards and olive groves to learn all the secretes of wine and olive oils
Our first stop will be in BAGNO VIGNONI where we will enjoy a nice coffee in front of the “Piazza delle Sorgenti” (Hot Springs square), dated back to the roman time BC. From Bagno Vignoni, in just 15 minutes, we reach Pienza, considered “THE PERFECT CITY” which was created in the Reinassance to put in connection the village with the landscape. Pienza is renewed for the PECORINO CHEESE, and you will have the chance to taste it in one of the authentic little shops.
From Pienza we get to MONTALCINO, where it is produced the BRUNELLO wine; you will visit a real Castle of the the middleage; in a family run estate you will have a typical tuscan lunch (1 starter- 1 first course-1 dessert) accompained with a wine pairing of Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello wine.
